Alia Bhatt & Her Latest Movie Raazi: Things You Cannot Afford to Miss!

Alia Bhatt has been quite eager about her next release Raazi directed by Meghna Gulzar and produced under the banner of Dharma Productions. This thriller features her in the robust role of a Kashmiri girl, who married to a Pakistani officer. Though the movie is set to release on 11th May 2018, the trailer of this movie has already garnered 18,204,052 views on YouTube till date, and after watching it, one can only say that the movie looks engrossing.

This time Alia Bhatt is going to star with Vicky Kaushal, and the duo would be sharing the sets for the first time after his impactful debut in Masaan, in the Bollywood film industry. Alia Bhatt is playing the powerful role of Sehmat in this film. She will be portraying the role of a daughter, a wife, and even a patriotic woman, who can move mountains for her country. The cast also encompasses veteran actors like Rajit Kapoor, Soni Razdan, Shishir Sharma, and young talented Jaideep Ahlawat.

Do You Know Alia Had to Learn New Skills for Raazi?

The bubbly, gorgeous and very talented Alia Bhatt has given an excellent performance once again in Raazi. The trailer of this film looks extremely engaging, and it seems that the actor has got into the skin of Sehmat, her character in Raazi. But the performance wasn’t a cake walk. Alia had to learn various new skills for justifying the story of the movie. Alia learned to drive the Jonga car, which was a challenge for her because Alia is more used to automatic cars.  To learn Pure Urdu was another task that Alia had to grasp because the director Meghna was extremely specific about the dialect. Alia was even asked to watch movies like Kabhi-Kabhi, Silsila, etc.; this learning spirit reflects the spark in the character of Alia Bhatt.

A True Story

If you didn’t know, Raazi is based on the novel Calling Sehmat by ex-naval officer named Harinder Sikka. This novel is a fictionalized note of a reportedly true story about an Indian Kashmiri secret agent, set during the period of the 1971 Indo-Pak war.

The former Lieutenant Commander of Indian Navy published a book in the year 2008 about a Kashmiri woman, who was married off to a Pakistani officer to fetch information about rival country’s war strategy. She delivered secret information back to India during the time of Indo-Pakistan war. The fact alone that Raazi is based on a true-life story dating back to 1971 Indo-Pak war makes this movie much more fascinating than anything else.  At present, Sehmat is no more, and her son serves the Indian army. It took Sikka long eight years to fictionalise and wheel a story with a cohesive narrative.

Thus, we cannot wait to watch Alia Bhatt as Sehmat, can we? If you haven’t checked out the link to this engaging movie clip, what are you waiting for; go watch it and you will definitely be grabbed by it.

We wish Alia and the entire crew all the best for Raazi!

Rampage Trailer – Dwayne Johnson (The Rock) is back

Dwayne Johnson led Rampage’s trailer is finally out, and it looks grand. The movie slated for release in April 2018 is about a gorilla that sets out on a city rampage.

The Inspiration-

Inspired by the 1986 arcade game Rampage, the movie looks quite promising from its trailer. Talking about the Bally Midway game, ‘Rampage’ on which the flick is based, it can be said that it was quite a rage. Players in the game need to control a monster trio that sets out on a city destruction mission. So, the players can earn points by eating people, destructing buildings, and smashing military vehicles. Various spin-offs, releases, and sequels of the game Rampage are out across a number of consoles, which speak for the popularity of the game.

Rampage Official Trailer

The visuals of the movie as witnessed in the trailers look really compelling. And the standard of visual-affects you see is also above par. This movie is going to be a real treat for kids as well as adults, which is pretty much evident from the theme on which the flick is based- a good gorilla turning hostile.

Similar productions in the past-

We have seen numerous films in the past based on this theme, and none has ever failed to impress the audience. Let’s take for instance King Kong, a 1933 American pre-Code monster adventure movie produced and directed by Ernest B. Schoedsack and Merian C. Cooper, which generated impressive box office receipts. It went on to become so popular that several remakes of the film were also launched in subsequent times. The film King Kong got universal acclaim on its first release and all re-releases.

Rampage is expected to create a similar impression on the audience. And because the cast looks so promising, there is no reason why one should not expect a lot from this film. Starring Dwayne Johnson, Malin Akerman, Marley Shelton, Naomie Harris, Jake Lacy, Joe Manganiello, and Jeffrey Dean Morgan, Rampage is a production of New Line Cinema and has a 30-feet-long wolf to watch out for, besides the giant ape.

It will be really exhilarating to watch rampage in the theatres. For follow-ups and latest updates on this movie, you can definitely come back. We have more in store for you!
